I'm a fourth year Ph.D. candidate with the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) working with Prof. Alejandro Ribeiro. I was born in Beijing, China. I received a B.Eng. (Honors) degree in Telecommunication and Electronics offered with a University Medal from The Australian National University, Australia in 2012 and worked for The Australian Communication and Media Authority for two years. A summary of my work can be found on my Google Scholar profile.

I have strong analytical and quantitative ability, and excellent capability to synthesize information for decision making. I'm experienced in writing critically and communicating effectively. I also have strong commitment to leadership, sense of responsibility, as well as experience to work with clients and in a team.

I started trading May 2016 in Chinese A-shares market using fundamental analysis (mostly time-series and cross-sectional P/E ratios and growth rate) as stock screening and entry/exit techniques such as day line MACD. I started day trading September 2016 in US stock market, focusing on giant TMT firms and using strategies based on 1/3/5 minutes candlestick patterns and MACD. I’m looking for internship/trainee opportunities in trading roles. During semesters, I’m also available to work full-time or 3 days a week on a part-time basis.
